My name is Eileen Taylor and I am a qualified hypnotherapist, specialising in childhood regression. I run my own private practice, Dove Therapy services in Orsett, Grays,Thurrock, Essex. Dove Therapy Services offers a range of therapies to help resolve emotional, psychological and physical problems that can so often prevent people from leading a happy and fulfilled life.

 Hypnosis
 
Hypnosis is simply an altered state of awareness. We have all reached this state at sometime. For example, when becoming totally absorbed in a book or film, when we lost all track of time and were unaware of things going on around us. We also experience this state of mind just before falling asleep and just before waking up.
Hypnoanalysis

Hypno-Analysis is used when symptoms stem from deep-rooted emotional or psychological origins. The cause is often a fearful event that became repressed into and hidden in the sub-conscious mind, usually in childhood because the child found its feelings at the time too difficult to deal with. Repressed issues and emotions can manifest in unwanted behaviours such as anxiety attacks, feelings of stress, asthma, smoking etc.

 Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is usually used for deeper rooted psychological issues. The therapist applies psychological principles to help one understand how past experiences and current behaviour could be linked. When one becomes aware of these issues one can start to challenge, break down and abandon redundant patterns of behaviour.

Counselling

The aim of counselling is to provide confidential help and support in a secure environment where one feels safe to discuss one’s fears and anxieties, to explore feelings such as sadness, loneliness, grief, jealousy, anger etc. Client and therapist work together by discussing and exploring thoughts and behaviours.

Qualifications

I trained at S.A.C.H, The School of Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapy completing an Advanced Diploma in Hypno-Analysis and Integrative Counselling. I also have an N.V.Q.3 in Counselling and a General Hypnotherapy Standards Council Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma. I am a Reiki Master/Teacher and am a member of the UK Reiki Federation.

I believe in Continuing Professional Development and regularly attend further and specialist training to upgrade my skills and learn new ones. Some examples are Art Therapy, Bereavement Counselling and Gestalt workshops and training. Also I attend Reiki share groups, have practice and discussion with colleagues and read current literature.

As a full member of the hypnotherapy association, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and the UK Reiki Federation I abide by their rules and Codes of Ethics and Practice, respecting client's rights to privacy and confidentiality.
